Arden traverses more of the sector to find a place to get rid of his pursuers.
- 📖 The path might be unknown, but it was a path. Arden had to follow it to see where it lead him. At the moment it was mostly leading away from danger, or so he hoped. But the danger might very well be at the other end. The only way to know is to travel the path.
🎲 Undertake an Expedition (+wits): 6(3+3) vs 5/9 (Weak Hit) - 📖 The engine had seen better days, even though it was just recently repaired. Travel was not pleasant, but as it turned out was still smoother than what awaited him. At first it was like any other stop he made so far. Dark, black, endless space. But all of a sudden, gravitation was upended. Up was right, right was left, down was all at some point. Arden felt as if something was pulling him apart and then compressing him in quick succession.
🎲 Space Sighting: Turbulent Gravitational wave (84) - 📖 The rise and fall of the gravitational turbulence destabilized the Cerelis Nine and it began to teeter. In the meantime the artifical gravity inside was affected as well, so Arden was floating around, trying not to bump into things. It took all his effort to stabilize the ship.
🎲 Face Danger (+edge): 3(1+2) vs 9/7 (Miss) - 📖 Arden tried his best. Through all the tumbling and rotating the ship did in the wave, he tried to keep it level and calm. He could hear the metal croak under the different forces that acted upon it. Just a little bit more. He could do it.
🎲 Withstand Damage: 5(3+2) vs 3/8 (Weak Hit) - 📖 The wave passed and Arden could feel the weight of his own body again, as the artifical gravity inside his ship returned. Somehow he made it through and he was lucky his followers did not catch him at this time. Nevertheless he had to press on.
🎲 Undertake an Expedition (+wits): 9(6+3) vs 5/7 (Strong Hit) - 📖 The engine was cooperating for once and brought Arden smoothly to his next waypoint. The drift ended in a dense nebula cloud, ideal to stay hidden for as long as he needed for his next jump. Arden had a moment of relative safety for himself, before he engaged the engine again.
🎲 Undertake an Expedition (+wits): 9(6+3) vs 2/6 (Strong Hit) - 📖 The last stretch of his travel concluded effortlessly. Was Arden too paranoid in thinking he would be tracked with that box on the engine? Or did his assailants met a worse fate than him? Whatever it may have been, Arden was happy to see some form of civilization.
