Releasing the Orcs

My first playtest was successful. At least I think so. The players had fun. I had fun running it, so it must have been good. I only needed to make a few adjustments on the fly.

For example: I have a group of kobolds in a room, dancing around a shiny thing. Initially I wanted to make the shiny thing completely worthless junk, but in hindsight it is far more enticing to put a cell key in front of their noses.

And indeed, the player's bit the lure. A poor character leapt forward and snatched the key. The kobolds were not happy and flung their spears against the poor thief (of course he didn't make it). And then they risked another character to grab the key from the cold hands of their fallen "comrade".

There are still some things that I think might need some changes. But I have to do some more playtesting to figure things out. Luckily I have another day of RPG before me, were I can introduce some more ~~victims~~ players to the deadliness of RPGs.

If you want to run the adventure yourself, you can now grab a playtest version from itch.io.
